This guide will walk you through every step, from setting up your workspace to finishing touches, ensuring your candles looks beautiful, smell amazing, and burn safely.
What’s Included in Your Box
  • Soy wax flakes (for candle 1)
  • Soy wax flakes (for candle 2)
  • 2 wicks + 2 stickers + 2 wick holders
  • Wooden stirring sticks
  • Candle safety stickers
  • Real dry flowers
  • Small metal pouring pitcher
  • 2 containers for your candles
  • 2 bottles with floral 100% essential oils
What You’ll Need From Home
  • Stove and small pot (for double boiler setup)
  • Scissors
  • Optional: tweezers (helpful for placing flowers carefully)
💡Tip: Make sure your workspace is clean and organized—wax can spill, and flowers are delicate.
STEP 1
Attach the Wick
Your wick is key to an even burn.
1. Place the sticker at the base of the wick.
2. Press it onto the center bottom of your first container.
3. Secure with the wick holder to keep it straight.

đź’ˇTip: Centering the wick ensures even burning and keeps your flowers safe from direct flame.

STEP 2
Melt the Soy Wax
1. Place the soy wax flakes for candle 1 into the metal pouring pitcher.
2. Set up a double boiler (small pot with ~1/3 water) and place the pitcher in the water—make sure it doesn’t touch the bottom.
3. Heat on medium until fully melted, stirring gently with a wooden stick.
4. Once fully melted at its highest temperature, add all the floral essential oil.
5. Stir very, very well for 2–3 minutes to ensure the fragrance is fully integrated.

đź’ˇTip: Adding fragrance at high temperature ensures it binds to the wax and your candle will smell amazing once cured.

STEP 3
Pour the Wax
1. Pour the melted wax gently into the container around the wick.
2. Let it sit at room temperature until the top is no longer fully liquid but still slightly soft.

💡Tip: This is the perfect moment to attach your flowers—they’ll stick better without sinking too deep.

STEP 4
Attach the Dry Flowers
1. Choose which flowers to use and plan your arrangement. Consider which flowers will give the best scent and visual appeal.
2. Gently press the flowers into the wax away from the wick.
3. Important Safety Note: Flowers should never touch the flame. If any flowers are too close to the wick, remove them before burning your candle.
đź’ˇTips for Flowers:
  • Use tweezers for precise placement.
  • Attach flowers strategically so they stay embedded but not too deep.
  • Step back occasionally to see the candle from the side and adjust placement.
  • If wax is too hard to attach flowers, use a hair dryer on gentle mode to slightly soften the top layer.
  • Flowers can be repositioned while the wax is slightly sticky, but never force them into fully hardened
đź’ˇTroubleshooting:
  • Flowers sink: Wait until wax top layer is semi-solid before placing flowers.
  • Flowers tilt: Re-position gently while wax is sticky.
  • Wax too soft and flowers sink: Let wax firm slightly before attaching flowers.
STEP 5
Let Your Candle Cure
1. Allow the candle to sit at room temperature for 1–2 days.
2. Do not burn immediately—fully cured wax burns evenly, smells stronger, and looks beautiful.

đź’ˇTip: Patience is key! The wait is part of making a professional-looking candle.

STEP 6
Repeat for Candle 2
1. Follow Steps 1–5 for the second candle.
2. Use the second set of wax flakes, wick, holder, essential oil, and flowers.
3. You can create a different flower arrangement and scent combination for a unique pair.
STEP 7
Attach Safety Sticker
1. Place the candle safety sticker on the outside of each container after the candle is fully cured.

đź’ˇTip: Stickers ensure anyone using your candle knows safe burning instructions.

STEP 8
Burning Your Candle Safely
1. Place on a heat-resistant surface.
2. Trim wick to 0.5–1 cm before lighting.
3. Burn 2–3 hours max per session for even wax pool.
4. Keep away from drafts, children, and pets.
5. Let wax cool fully between burns.
6. Remove any flowers that are too close to the wick before burning. Safety first!
Extra Safety Tips:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Avoid moving the candle while lit.
- Keep wick centered for safe and even burn.
- Flowers should never touch the flame—always double-check before lighting.
