Afterschool Art Program for Kids (Ages 7–13)

The Afterschool Art Program at Arting Around is a playful, creative, and thoughtfully designed space where kids explore a wide variety of art mediums while building confidence, imagination, and creative thinking.

This is not a repetitive drawing class. Each week, students are introduced to new materials and techniques, allowing them to experiment, learn, and express themselves freely. From painting and sculpting to mixed media, paper art, textiles, and crafts — children experience art as an open, joyful process rather than a rigid lesson.
The program is welcoming, supportive, and designed to meet kids where they are. No prior art experience is needed.

Program structure

• Runs every Monday

• Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
• Ages: 7–13 years old

What kids will be working with

• Painting (acrylics, watercolor, mixed techniques)
• Sculpting and 3D projects
• Mixed media and collage
• Paper art and creative crafts
• Textile and tactile materials

The program takes place in our cozy studio at 191 Eglinton Ave East, unit 310, just a 5-minute walk from Eglinton subway station, with free parking available on site.
This program is ideal for kids who love to create, explore, and express themselves — or for those who are still discovering what kind of art they enjoy most.
